AWD or 4WD provides the best traction and is strongly recommended. Standard vehicles can make the trip in normal conditions, but this route may not be comfortable for drivers unfamiliar with steep, winding gravel roads. Use Snow or Traction Mode if equipped, and accelerate and brake smoothly on loose gravel.
Parking accommodates four vehicles: two under the carport and two in the driveway. Pull completely into the parking area and keep the gravel road clear.
These directions begin as you enter Downtown Ellijay and follow the Google Maps route to the cabin. Keep live navigation open because your route into town may differ, then use these road names, distances, and arrival landmarks for the mountain portion.
Continue south on South Dalton Street. At the traffic circle, continue on South Dalton Street for about 0.4 mile.
Continue for approximately 6.9 miles on paved Boardtown Road. The gravel portion begins when you turn left onto Big Ben Road.
As you turn onto Big Ben Road, the pavement changes to gravel and remains gravel for the rest of the drive to the cabin. Stay on Big Ben Road for approximately 1.2 miles, drive at a controlled speed, and allow room for approaching vehicles.
Continue for about 0.3 mile, then turn right to stay on Gobbler Knob Road.
Take the slight left onto Amy Creek Circle and continue for approximately 0.4 mile.
Follow the road as Amy Creek Circle turns left and becomes Amy Creek Drive. Continue for approximately 0.3 mile.
The right turn onto Creekside Road is steep. Approach it carefully and maintain steady, controlled momentum through the turn. Continue for approximately 0.4 mile, then watch on the right for the white Treeborn Hollow sign with our logo as you get close to Mountain View Road.
Mountain View Road is steep and curved. Treeborn Hollow is the first driveway on the right. Maintain steady, controlled momentum over the small lip where the gravel meets the concrete.
Important: Google Maps currently shows this route as 10.0 miles and about 24 minutes from downtown. Travel time and road conditions can change. After dark or during inclement weather, slow down, allow extra time, and call if you are unsure about the route or current conditions.
